Volunteers Needed

If you're not yet following HOPE for Teachers of Central Maryland, you should be!  It's a great resource for professional development opportunities, free stuff, special events, and inspiration for local teachers and future teachers.

Amy Neumayer, founder and the energy behind HOPE for Teachers, gathered supplies donated by AACPS teachers at the end of the last school year.  She now has boxes and boxes of items (+50!) to share with new teachers at New Teacher Free Supply Store on Tuesday, August 13th at Old Mill Middle School North.

How can you help?  HOPE for Teachers needs volunteers to transport supplies that morning and help organize the "store" in the school's cafeteria.

To get involved, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/494287063975455/ or email HOPEforteachers@gmail.com for more information.

Keeping Cool in Careers

It's steamy outside, but quite chilly down here on the first floor of the Careers building!  I am in the midst of helping students select courses for the Fall semester.  Some of our classes are filling up, so be sure to call 410-777-1962 to schedule an advising appointment.
